Geelong Cats star Georgie Prespakis returns, Hawthorn Hawks rest youngster Bridie Hipwell

The teams will take part in the AFLW match between Geelong and Hawthorn on Thursday

GEELONG have received a boost ahead of Thursday’s clash with Hawthorn, Georgie Prespakis deemed fit to play.

The midfield star has missed the last two games with a quadriceps injury, which he also struggled with towards the end of the pre-season.

Debutant of the last match Caitlin Thorne gives way and has been declared a state of emergency.

The Hawks also made one change, signing a young key forward Bridie Hipwell coming out from the side.

Hipwell has been struggling with a lower leg injury and the Hawks have suggested she could undergo surgery during their midweek match.

Tahlia Scholarship Holders was named for its first game of the season.

Geelong were 12th on the ladder on Wednesday afternoon, having recorded a breakthrough win over Gold Coast at the weekend and drawn with North Melbourne.

Hawthorn are fifth with three wins and had a landslide victory over St Kilda.
