Amazon is hiring 600 seasonal workers as it ramps up operations ahead of the holiday season. The delivery giant has positions to fill at its fulfillment centers and logistics facilities across the country.

Amazon Australia is looking for workers to help pick, pack and ship customer orders, with work spanning holidays and key shopping periods such as Prime Big Deal Days and Black Friday. The company said candidates don’t need to have any experience to get the job.

Jobs are available in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Gosford and Geelong. For those looking for more flexible work, there is also the option of delivering parcels via Amazon Flex.

Amazon Australia chief human resources officer Jacqui Marker said the seasonal roles could be a springboard to a long-term career at the e-commerce giant, with more than 550 permanent positions created this year.

“We will provide comprehensive on-the-job training, no previous experience or formal qualifications are required,” she added.

“These seasonal jobs are ideal for those looking for short-term employment, such as retirees looking to continue working, students taking a break from their studies, or those looking to return to work and earn some extra money.”
